Why study Management Information Systems online through OSU?
Offered since 1998, the OSU master’s degree in Management Information Systems provides solutions to business information systems, data and security needs. Consistently

The Spears School of Business offers online programs as an alternative way to earn
a degree. We believe that students should have access to high-quality, affordable
education regardless of their schedule or location. Online courses are available 24/7
and are designed with multimedia content and virtual activities to promote student
collaboration.
Curriculum
The STEM-designated online program requires 33 credit hours for degree completion
including courseson MIS in business, database management, data warehousing, systems analysis, programming
for data science, big data, health analytics, visualization, security, information
assurance and professional development.
Admissions are for the Fall semester only with a March 1 deadline for international students and a July 1 deadline for U.S. citizens.
Admissions are decided on a holistic approach, and all international applications
are evaluated as a group two weeks after the July 1 deadline. We do not provide application
fee waivers.
The GRE is required for all applicants. Exceptions can be considered for students
with an OSU BSBA in MSIS or an OSUIT MIS related degree. Current OSU 4+1 students
can also request a waiver for GRE scores. Please contact the MS MIS Graduate Coordinator
with any GRE exception request.
