Get certified in Forensic Criminal Intelligence

The purpose of the Certificate in Forensic Criminal Intelligence is to prepare students and professionals with the analytical skills, investigative methods, and applied knowledge required to collect, evaluate, and interpret criminal intelligence in support of public safety and security. The program is designed to bridge the gap between law enforcement, forensic science, and intelligence analysis by equipping graduates to identify patterns of criminal behavior, assess threats, and provide actionable insights to decision-makers.

Overview

This certificate can be completed fully online in two semesters, and if students choose to continue taking courses the 12 credit hours can apply to our MS and Doctoral degrees in Forensic Sciences. Courses are taught by experts in the field and students will gain knowledge that they can immediately apply in the professional setting.

  • FRNS 5703 Psychology of Forensic Intelligence Analysis
  • FRNS 6703 Advanced Forensic Intelligence Analysis
  • FRNS 5633 Open Source Intelligence

Admissions Requirements and Deadlines

  • Accepting applications for Fall terms only
  • Bachelor's degree with a recommended grade point average of 3.0 or better. (Applicants graduating from schools outside the U.S. are required to submit transcripts that have been evaluated to U.S. standards.)

  • Basic computer skills, equipment, and internet access are required for participation in online courses. Participants need the capacity for independent learning, access to a computer, Internet, and e-mail, as well as proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • $50.00 application fee (domestic)
