This graduate certificate is designed for education professionals who already hold
a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and seek to acquire the necessary skill set for building
level school administration and/or Oklahoma Principals’ Licensure.
Successful completion of the certificate program requires 12 credit hours (four courses)
of graduate-level coursework ineducational leadership. Credit hours are transferable to additional graduate degree programs in school administration.
The 12 credit hours for this certificate are offered 100-percent online. Courses are
offered through Canvas, OSU's online learning platform. All courses are 8-week courses
offered in an online, hybrid format. Eight-week courses typically meet by Zoom about
four times per session. Students can complete this certificate independently or while
also earning a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership. Students can complete
the certificate in two semesters. Courses in the certificate are in partial fulfillment
of requirements for recommendation for principal certification.
