Acquire business analytics and data science skills

This online program is designed to help working professionals who don’t mind doing some coding and who do not want to pursue a full MS degree yet, but want to acquire business analytics or data science skills. Credits earned in this program are fully transferrable to the online MS BAnDS degree if you want to pursue this degree down the road. Expand your analytics and data science skills by learning how to analyze data with state-of-the-art enterprise level analytics software from multiple vendors such as Alteryx, Azure, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Snowflake as well as open source software such as Google Colab, Python and R.

Overview

Working professionals admitted to this program can complete coursework in 12 to 18 months. The program requires taking 12 credit hours and allows for the courses to be double-counted toward MS in Business Analytics and Data Science degree.

Admissions requirements and deadlines

Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or other natural science and have the equivalent of at least a 3.0/4.0 undergraduate GPA. 

 

Other students may apply for admission to the program; such applications will be reviewed by the program director, who may recommend admission to the OSU Graduate College.

 

For fall admission, application must be complete by July 1 of the same year.

 

For spring admission, application must be complete by December 1 of the prior year.

 

All transcripts from bachelor degree studies as well as a CV/resume must be submitted by the deadline in order to be reviewed for admission. Applications that are incomplete at the deadline will not be reviewed. This application does not require recommendation letters, purpose statement or entrance exams such as the GMAT or GRE.
