Why study Business Analytics and Data Science online through OSU?

Business Analytics and Data Science (MS-BAnDS) provides working professionals with hands-on data analysis experience using state-of-the-art enterprise level analytics software as well as open-source software providing great advantages in the competitive job market.
Spears Business has strong relationships with major analytics providers like SAS, Teradata, IBM and others, and is known as one of the nation’s top business analytics programs, developing the first analytics certificate program in the nation in 2004.

Format

The Spears School of Business offers online programs as an alternative way to earn a degree. We believe that students should have access to high-quality, affordable education, regardless of their schedule or location. Online courses are available 24/7, and are designed with multimedia content and virtual activities to promote student collaboration.

 

Curriculum

Earning a master’s degree in the STEM-designate Master of Science in Business Analytics and Data Science program requires 33 credit hours. MS-BAnDS graduates often pursue careers as:

  • Data scientists
  • Data/business analysts
  • Statistical analysts

Admissions

  • GMAT or GRE are required with minimum recommended scores above 51st percentile in each of the test areas.
  • Work experience is considered during the application review process and is strongly encouraged. Those with five-plus years of relevant work experience may be allowed probationary admission.
  • Spring application deadline, Nov. 1.
  • Fall application deadline, June 1.

 

Cost

Scholarships and assistantships are available through the Watson Graduate School of Management for qualified applicants.
