The Graduate Certificate in Learning and Motivation provides insight into contemporary
understandings of human learning, development and motivation across a wide range of
contexts. The certificate enhances degrees in education, business, communications,
economics, health promotion, hotel and restaurant administration, human services,
journalism and more and provides preparation for those who will teach after graduation.
This program prepares you with a greater understanding of human learning and behavior. Topics
include psychological needs, cognitive development, the social
nature of learning, the role of beliefs in motivation, critical thinking and complex
cognitive processes. This 12-hour certificate can be earned entirely online. One course
has a face-to-face section for those that prefer the classroom experience.
