The master’s degree in Educational Leadership Studies with an option in Higher Education
is designed to prepare students for management positions at public and private colleges
and universities. Students will study the complex issues facing higher education today, including administrative
and organizational frameworks and the trends and needs of diverse student populations.
The program is intended to provide maximum flexibility for full-time working professionals.
This degree program will be available 100 percent online beginning Fall 2021. Courses
are delivered throughCanvas, OSU’s online learning platform. The program follows a suggested two-year accelerated
completion sequence in which students take two courses per semester (fall, spring
and summer). Students can also complete in three years using a fall/spring sequence.
Within six months of graduating, master’s students are typically employed in
higher education positions across the globe.

Students will also complete a capstone course, which includes a creative component
