The master’s degree in Educational Technology is designed to prepare students from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines in
becoming highly qualified educational technologists, instructional technology specialists,
instructional designers or workplace training specialists. Our graduates go on to professional roles in educational institutions, health care,
non-profit organizations, tribal nations or corporations as instructional design specialists,
program developers, online learning experts or software trainers and facilitators.
This 100 percent online program is delivered through Canvas, OSU’s online learning platform. Most students take 4- or 8-week courses and complete
their degree in 18 to 24 months. Convenient course scheduling provides maximum flexibility
for working professionals.
Curriculum
This holistic degree integrates instructional design, online teaching, effects of
technology on cognition and learning and design-based research with emerging technologies
