The Department of Psychology’s undergraduate program offers excellent training in
understanding human behavior and the uses of scientifically rigorous methods. A degree
in psychology also serves as your foundation for various careers and helps you acquire
skills ranging from communication and problem-solving to research, data analysis and
computer literacy. Our degree allows you to complete a second major or a minor often
without additional hours. Graduates enjoy successful careers in a variety of fields
such as mental healthcare, education, behavioral research, medicine, law, forensic
science and marketing/sales.
The College of Arts and Sciences offers comprehensive online degrees to fit your busy
schedule. Using the latest technologies, we put psychology courses within reach for
students who are not able to attend classes on campus or commit to full-time, face-to-face
enrollment due to the time constraints of working full-time and raising a family.
OSU uses Canvas for our learning management system and hosts your online courses and
content. From lectures to discussions to submitting assignments, all course interaction
is completed entirely online. All you need is the necessary discipline and access
to computer capabilities. All instructors who teach online learning courses are the
same quality faculty who teach on-campus courses.
The online psychology degree is 120 hours and includes general education courses plus
major courses such as: Succeeding in Psychology, Personality,Pediatric Psychology,Forensic Psychology and Psychology of Sport and Human Performance.
