Why study sociology online through OSU?

Expand the borders of learning beyond the classroom with an online bachelor’s degree in Sociology! Taught by the same elite faculty who have earned our program national recognition, our online course offerings cover a range of topics including Social Psychology, Sociology of Law, Sociology of Health and Illness, Environmental Sociology, and more—providing students with skills in quantitative analysis and research methods anchored in sociological theory. With enhanced expertise in written and oral communication, critical and analytical thinking, and interpersonal/cross cultural interactions, our graduates are ideal candidates for careers in a variety of fields, as well as graduate and professional schools.

Format

We offer comprehensive online degrees to fit your busy schedule. Using the latest technologies, we put sociology courses within reach for students who are not able to attend classes on campus or commit to full-time, face to face enrollment due to the time constraints of working full-time and raising a family.

OSU uses Canvas for our learning management system and hosts your online courses and content. From lectures to discussions to submitting assignments, all course interaction is completed entirely online. All you need is the necessary discipline and access to computer capabilities!
