Individualization and flexibility are features of the program leading to the degree
of Bachelor of University Studies. The program is designed for goal-directed, motivated,
and mature students who wish to tailor course choices to meet individual goals. The
degree program allows students to prepare for professional careers that require extensive
knowledge in a broad array of subjects. The Bachelor of University Studies allows
you to focus on two or three areas of study that you select. You may use “major” courses
from an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree to fulfill one of focus areas.
A Bachelor of University Studies degree can be completed 100% online. OSU provides
online degree choices to fit your busy schedule. Using the latest technologies, we
put quality online courses within reach for students who are not able to attend classes
on campus.
OSU uses Canvas for our learning management system and hosts your online courses and
content. From lectures to discussions to submitting assignments, all course interaction
is completed entirely online. All you need is the necessary discipline and access
to computer capabilities. All instructors who teach online learning courses are the
same quality faculty who teach on-campus courses.
Curriculum
By combining coursework across disciplines, students work with an adviser to tailor
the curriculum to reach unique academic and career goals. Students complete 120 semester
hours with at least 40 upper-division hours. Students choose two or three areas of
concentration, which may include coursework from the requirements for a minor or certificate
or a group of related courses approved by a departmental representative. If you have
an AA, AS, or AAS degree, you can use college credit earned in your major in one area
of concentration. Students work with an advisor in one of OSU's academic colleges..

university and college. Cost estimates below are calculated based on 2022-2023 rates. Additional cost details and OSU’s tuition and fee estimator are available
